A General Overview of the Symposium's Themes
The figures listed below by period, who shaped the spiritual and intellectual life of Konya, constitute the central axis of the symposium. Papers may be prepared from a variety of perspectives concerning these figures, such as biography, analysis of their works, intellectual influences, architectural and pious-foundation (waqf) legacy, social and economic roles, and their reflections in the present day. This list, however, is not restrictive: papers prepared on other figures who have contributed to the spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and social life of Konya may also be accepted at the discretion of the Scientific Committee.
